Set up may begin as early as 4:00 p.m. Mingo Creek Park
Spend an evening in Mingo Creek Park camping under the star-filled skies. As night falls, we will be cooking
hot dogs, roasting marshmallows, and spending time around the campfire. We will prepare a simple campfire
breakfast Saturday morning. Bring your own tent and camping supplies. For newbies, the park staff will be
available to help set up tents. This program will be held weather permitting.
Pre-registration required; registration not more than 30 days in advance.
FEE: $10.00 per campsite

    Our annual Fall Festival on our 150-year-old farm, is a tradition for many families in the South Hills and greater Pittsburgh area. There’s something for everyone from grandparents to grandkids. Enjoy a hayride to our pumpkin patch to pick-your-own pumpkin or see if you can find your way through our giant, 3-acre corn maze! Pumpkins are not included in the ticket price.

    The Jeannette Business Association's Ethnic Food and Fall Festival is in it's sixth year and this one looks like it will be the best yet! The Festival is held on Clay Avenue in Jeannette, PA starting at the 400 block. It will feature over 20 Craft Vendors. Seven organizations will offer ethnic food as well as 10 churches. There will be at least 6 food trucks.There will also be a Children's Area and a gift card raffle and 50/50 raffle. Don't forget about the Scarecrow Contest featuring groups, businesses, schools and organizations trying to win prizes that will be announced that day. The Jeannette Arts Council will also have and art contest with winners announce that day as well!

    Bring your smallest scientists to the Science Center for Munchkin Mondays, full of themed activities just for early learners ages 2-6! Your preschoolers will get up close to exciting science concepts, while having tons of fun with hands-on activities and socializing with other little learners.

    Mon., Sept. 9, 16, 23 and 30; Oct. 7, 21, and 28
    Free with Science Center admission; no registration required. Early learner activities run from 10 am–2 pm.

    Bring you family & friends out for fun Friday evenings at Trax Farms! Every Friday starting September 27th through October 25th take a scenic hayride to the top of the hill where there is a beautiful fall view of the farm! Scarecrows will welcome you to our challenging corn maze and giant pumpkin patch for pick-your-own-pumpkins! Then sit back and relax around the bonfire!

    Pumpkins are not included in ticket price.
    Bonfires are weather permitting.
    Hayrides leave every 30 minutes with the last hayride for the corn maze at 6:30pm.

    2019 Sleepovers
    Bring your family or Scout troop for a night at the Science Center! There’s a terrific variety of themes to choose from.

    All Science Center sleepovers include:
    A movie in The Rangos Giant Cinema
    Themed activities
    Planetarium or laser show
    Theater show demos
    Sleeping among our exciting exhibits
    Official Science Center patch
    Late-night snack
    Continental breakfast
    Free admission for the day following the sleepover, including Highmark SportsWorks® and USS Requin (SS 481)
    Cost: $39 per person. Call 412.237.3400 to register.

    Groups need to provide one adult chaperone for every eight children. Families or those not part of a group must also have a parent or guardian present.

    Check-in begins at 6 pm the evening of your sleepover, where you will receive a detailed schedule of the night's happenings. The overnight experience will begin with a brief orientation, after which participants will enjoy a night of themed activities. Lights-out is at midnight. All sleepover gear must be removed from the building by 9:00 am, but you are welcome to stay the day after and explore even more with your general admission, included in your sleepover cost!

    Monster Madness Sleepover

    Calling all werewolves, vampires, and zombies! Get in the Halloween spirit with a night of monster-themed fun. Put on your wizardry hat as you dabble with potions and concoctions, use science to send ghosts flying into the air, and engineer a new monster of your very own design. Discover how Frankenstein was re-animated in a special live theater demonstration, meet some of our own live creepy, crawly creatures, and see Wallace and Gromit and the Curse of the Were-Rabbit in The Rangos Giant Cinema.
