FamilyFunPittsburgh is Coasting for Kids at Kennywood Park on September 1st.

Give Kids the World is a place of joy and sadness, peace and action. It is a place to run to and a place to get away from real life. It is whimsical, magical, powerful. It is a place where thousands of very special children and their families have found respite from daily lives that are so very difficult. It is place founded on tragedy. It is a place of love.

Give Kids the World is a special place for special children. Founded by Holocaust survivor Henri Landwirth, Give Kids the World is the home-away-from-home for wish kids in Orlando Florida. While it seems everyone has heard of Make-a-Wish, it is Give Kids the World that actually provides the vacation of dreams to Wish Families – families who have children with debilitating, progressive, life-threatening illnesses. For one week, families live in their own whimsical villa in a Storybook Village that provides everything to make their dreams come true. Give Kids the World provides tickets to Disney, Universal, Sea World. There is entertainment, food, parties, a kids spa, and more. Kids can take part in a giant Candy Land game or enjoy Christmas all year. It is a special place where everyone is accepted and loved.

Give Kids the World holds a special place in the hearts of FamilyFunPittsburgh. We are a Wish family. We are a Give Kids the World Family. Give Kids the World is FamilyFunPittsburgh’s supported charity. 10% of everything we earn is donated to Give Kids the World.

On September 1, FamilyFunPittsburgh will be coasting for the critically ill kids who visit Give Kids the World Village, a nonprofit resort that provides them cost-free vacations.We will join fellow supporters and wish families at Kennywood at Coasting for Kids to raise funds for other Wish families at Give Kids the World.
