The FamilyFunPittsburgh Guide to Fall Festivals

We hate to be the bearer of bad news but here it goes …. Summer is over. Yes, summer is over but there is still plenty of outdoors FamilyFun. Our area hosts dozens of Fall Festivals every weekend celebrating food, the arts, apples, the harvest, and families. Check out the list of weekend Festivals, and find your FamilyFun.

September 13, 14, & 15

City

The Swissvale Food Truck Round-up is a FamilyFun gathering for everyone with local food trucks, entertainment, face painting, and more. Saturday Septmber 14, 1200-400PM. https://familyfunpittsburgh.com/event/swissvale-food-truck-round-up-fun-fest/

East

The Ligonier Highland Games are held at Idlewild Park. Celebrate Scotland with Bagpipes, Dancing, Food, and the highly popular Athletic Games. Entry ranges from $0 for the youngest Scots to $20 for adults. The Games are held Saturday and Sunday. Please note: Idlewild Park is NOT OPEN and there are NO RIDES operating. The Westmoreland County Food Truck Festival is at the Westmoreland County Fairgrounds September 13 & 14. There will be 25 food trucks from all over southwestern Pennsylvania. Admission is $5.00 per person (plus food). Some Food Trucks only take cash. The Saltsburg Music Festival features seven local bands, food trucks, and family activities in Canal Park on Saturday September 14 from 100-900PM. https://familyfunpittsburgh.com/event/saltsburg-music-festival-greensburg/

South

It is Fall Festival time at Triple B Farms across the river from Monongahela. Pick a pumpkin, take a hayride, play on the playgrounds, and more. Admission is $14 for children, $9.00 for adults, children under 2 are free. Pumpkins and some activities have an additional fee. Simmons Farms has Fall Festival activities every day but on the weekends, the fun is amped up. Take a hayride to the pumpkin field and pick out a pumpkin, slide down the 100 foot slide, get lost in a 4 acre corn maze, and more. On weekends there are food vendors, pony, rides, entertainment, and more. Fall activities with the Hayride is $13.00. If you want to pick a pumpkin on your hayride the cost is $16.50. West

Robinson Township has its Fall Festival on Saturday the 14th from 100-900PM. Kids will get to meet characters from Frozen. Older kids can try Laser Tag. Everyone will enjoy food, fun, and entertainment.
