Looking for a place to take the plunge? The East of Pittsburgh has community pools and a wave pool for some FamilyFun.

Note: Many pools are cash only for admission and concession stands.

The Boyce Park Wave Pool

The Boyce Park Wave Pool is a large wave pool nestled into the rolling hills of Boyce Park near Monroeville. Boyce Park Wave Pool is a great place to ride the waves or to just cool off. The Pool is zero entry. Waves run in cycles with time in between the cycles when the water is calm. The large Pool is surrounded by artificial turf “grass”. There is a concession area and free parking. The Pool can get very crowded on busy days.

Flotation devices are NOT ALLOWED. This means no life jackets, no floaties, no water wings. (The only exception is special devices for disabled persons.) Food and drinks are not permitted in the pool area. All food and drinks must be consumed in the concession area. Smoking is not allowed except in designated areas. Masks, snorkels, fins, beach balls, and sunglasses are not permitted. Lockers can be rented for $0.25 a day. Rafts can be rented for $5.00 a day for residents and $6.00 a day for non-residents. The Boyce Park Wave Pool season suns June 1st through September 2nd. It is open daily from 1130AM-730PM weather permitting. If the Pool hasn’t opened by 200PM then it will not open that day. There may be reduced hours/availability toward the end of the season.

Resident daily rates are $1.00 for children 0-5, $5.00 for youth and juniors 6-17, $6.00 for adults, and $3.00 for seniors 60+. Non-resident daily rates are $1.00 for children 0-5, $6.00 for youth and juniors 6-17, $8.00 for adults, and $4.00 for seniors 60+.

The Heritage Hill Pool

The Heritage Hill Pool is the community pool for White Oak Township. It is a large community pool with a shallow end and a deep end with a diving board. There are changing rooms and a concession stand. The pool deck is surrounded by a grassy area.

The Heritage Hill Pool is open daily from 1100AM – 700PM weather permitting. Hours may vary towards the end of the season. There are daily adult swim times posted at the Pool.

The daily rate for residents is $5.00 and for non-residents the rate is $10.00. Pool passes are available at $60 for residents and $100 for non-residents and $30.00 for residents senior passes 65+.

Children under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

The Bel-Aire Community Pool

The Bel-Aire Community Pool is in Monroeville. It is a traditional community pool with a shallow end and a deep end with a diving board. There is a kiddie pool with a waterfall mushroom. There are shaded picnic groves, a volleyball court, basketball courts, changing rooms, and a concession stand.

The Bel-Aire Pool opens on May 25th – May 31st with limited hours and then daily on June 1st through August 18th. The Pool has limited hours August 19th through its September 2nd close.

The Pool offers American Red Cross swim classes. Please note: Flotation devices of any kind are not allowed in the Pool.

The Pool is open daily 1230PM – 700PM through August 19th weather permitting.

The daily admission rate for adults 18+ is $6.00 for residents and $8.00 for non-residents. Youth 3-17 daily rates are $4.00 for residents and $7.00 for non-residents. Seniors 65+ daily rates are $4.00 for residents and $7.00 for non-residents. Children 2 and under are free. There are pool passes available. Passes for individuals 13+ are $130 for residents and $160 for non-residents. Senior passes for individuals 65+ are $60 for residents and $85 for non-residents; rates for a senior (65+) family of 2 are $85 for residents and $120 for non-residents. Family passes are also available. Resident rates are $200 for a family of 2, $215 for a family of 3, $235 for a family of 4, and $250 for a family of 5. Non-resident rates are $250 for a family of 2, $270 for a family of 3, $305 for a family of 4, and $325 for a family of 5. A nanny can be added onto any family membership for $100.
